A vocation to serve

Espiral Retreats was founded by a dedicated team who share a deep commitment to integrity, authenticity, and respect for ancestral traditions. With many years of experience serving in retreat centers and medicine spaces, we bring both professional expertise and heartfelt presence to create spaces where genuine transformation can unfold.

At the center of our work is San Pedro (Huachuma) — the grandfather medicine of the Andes. We honor San Pedro as our primary medicine for its sustainability, gentleness, and profound capacity to open the heart, expand awareness, and bring lasting clarity.

To complement this path, we also offer other sacred medicines and practices — including Bufo Alvarius, Kambo, cacao ceremonies, and creative integration tools — providing a holistic approach to healing on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

Rooted in reciprocity, we give back to the land and people who host us: sourcing food locally, honoring Andean traditions, and supporting ecological and community-based projects. Our team has guided hundreds of people through depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and life transitions — always with humility, compassion, and care.

Above all, our mission is to serve the medicines, the Earth, and each person who feels called to join us on this path of self-discovery, healing, and renewal.

Theo

Artist, medicine man

Theodorus Slakey, born in the USA and raised in France, found his healing path through a profound relationship with the San Pedro cactus. Having overcome depression and an addiction to alcohol and heroin with the guidance of this medicine, Theo carries a deep respect and gratitude for San Pedro, which he shares with love, humility, and integrity.

Living in the Sacred Valley of Peru since 2013, Theo has dedicated more than a decade to studying and working with various teachers and sacred plants. For the past six years, he has been serving Bufo Alvarius (5-MeO-DMT) at Arkana Spiritual Center, where he has compassionately guided and assisted hundreds of people in their journeys of healing, awakening, and remembrance.

Beyond his ceremonial work, Theo is a painter and musician whose creative expression flows directly from his spiritual path. He is passionate about inspiring others to unlock their own creativity, often weaving art and music into the healing process as tools for integration and self-discovery.
